Customer Case Study: Cloetta

Since 2007, Cloetta, a leading confectionery company in the Nordic region and the Netherlands, has forged a strong partnership with PWR to optimize their packaging operations. Together, we’ve embarked on a journey of continuous improvement to ensure Cloetta’s robotic packaging line operates at its best.

In 2016, we collaborated with Cloetta to integrate a new product container into their production line, necessitating coordination with two additional OEM machines. This initiative marked the beginning of our ongoing efforts to adapt and enhance their packaging capabilities.

Recognising the evolving needs of Cloetta’s product range, we worked closely to transition from square pots with attached lids to round pots with separate lids in 2018. This required a comprehensive revamp of the production line, ensuring seamless integration and operational efficiency.

In 2018 and 2020, we embarked on ambitious projects to update obsolete components in the line. The first phase involved enhancing the PWR | Clear Vision system with advanced cameras and software, providing Cloetta with enhanced flexibility in vision recognition. Subsequently, in 2020, we conducted a complete upgrade of the outdated control system, replacing obsolete drives with the state-of-the-art PacDrive 3 system. This meticulous upgrade process, including the replacement of electrical panels and rigorous software testing, was executed to minimize downtime and ensure a smooth transition.

Post-upgrades, PWR provided comprehensive training to Cloetta’s local staff, empowering them to operate the updated line safely and efficiently.

In addition to these system improvements, PWR offers a suite of support services to ensure the ongoing success of Cloetta’s packaging operations. This includes rapid response on-site technical support, 24/7 remote service support, access to a dedicated spare parts service, and comprehensive staff training programs.

Through our collaborative efforts, Cloetta has achieved enhanced packaging efficiency, ensuring their products reach consumers with precision and quality. Our enduring partnership exemplifies our commitment to driving customer success.
